About The Bluegrass Painter....
Where to find Bob.... Bob spends as much time as he can in the summer at his home in Swanton, Maryland. Most Friday nights you'll catch him with his buddies Randy, Ed and Uncle Bill picking in his garage. From there he will travel to the nearby jams that abound in the mountains of Western Maryland and nearby West Virginia.

Robert Yonke works out of two studios, one in Pittsburgh, PA and the other in Swanton, MD. He works mostly in watercolor and focuses on subjects that he loves, such as bluegrass music. His love of music, the mountains, and the outdoors can be seen in his work. Bob's award winning art has been shown in many galleries throughout the region. He is a member of the Garrett County Arts Council in Western Maryland. "My work reflects personal interests. For example, I find that working on a painting of a bluegrass artist lets me relive the pleasure I've had picking with many of my friends." One of his most recent projects is a painting for the 2008 IBMA World of Bluegrass artwork. You can check in on Bob's latest piece of work or thoughts on a recent jam at The Bluegrass Painter Blog.
